Why do you need a Tablecloth with a hole in it? If you’re lucky enough to have an outdoor dining table (not everyone does) and the sun is shining there’s no doubt you will want to put up the market umbrella to ensure you and your guests don’t overheat in the sun. Unfortunately there’s a problem, you can’t have your umbrella and a tablecloth because there’s no hole to fit the umbrella through the tablecloth so you need to choose one or the other - that’s just crazy - you need an Umbrella Tablecloth! What is an Umbrella tablecloth? Quite simply, an Umbrella Tablecloth is a tablecloth with a hole strategically placed in the middle of the tablecloth. It’s a pretty easy solution to an age-old problem, the hole allows you to put your umbrella in your table and have a tablecloth at the same time. A seemed zipper (or optional velcro strips) make it easy to put the tablecloth on and take it off again without needing to remove and replace the umbrella each time! Nice. Great. Where do I buy an Umbrella Tablecloth? Well this might be the hard part. You’ll need to visit your local shop that sells tablecloths with a hole for an umbrella and hope they have the right size to fit your outdoor dining table in a fabric and colour that you really like. Simply grab your scissors and cut a hole in your tablecloth, perhaps even sew in a zip so the tablecloth can fit around the umbrella pole and not fly around in the breeze. If you’re not happy with a tablecloth with a zipper then perhaps use a button or even some velcro strips to attach the tablecloth at either end.
